"Borgo degli Albizi" is the continuation of the century old "Via del Corso", here many of these tower houses were built. Now bordered by Reinassance palaces, it was part of the ancient Roman road to Rome.
Close to it is "Via dei Calzaioli", the ancient seat of armourers and now the goal of evening walk of Florentines, and "Via Tornabuoni" with the most elegant shops in town. Nearby you can find the characteristic flea market, and lots of little groceries, bakeries, wine shops.
